4 Exceptional DIY Homemade Hair Growth Treatments

The health and beauty market is awash with products. Some of these products are ultra-pricy. Products that fall within this category may be beyond reach for many of us. There are others, still, that are affordable but are made of suspicious ingredients.

As consumers, we can still go without any of these products. For those of us who are passionate about our hair, we can make use of exceptional hair growth treatments. These treatments are available, affordable, and effective. It will cost you little or nothing to try them.

Egg and Brandy
This is one of the most common homemade hair growth treatments. If you have never used it before you can give it a try. All you need to do is beat one egg and mix it with one glass of brandy. Apply the thick mixture on your scalp and massage your head for about five minutes. Then leave it to rest for one hour.

After this, rinse your head with warm water. It is, however, recommended that you use a mild shampoo to rinse your hair. This mixture has been found to be effective in arresting hair loss and in promoting hair growth.

Onion and Rum
Yes you heard it right. Onion, the very vegetable that makes you shed tears. This vegetable, in concert with rum, makes outstanding hair food. Slice a medium-sized onion into small pieces and toss them into a cup of rum. Leave the mixture to rest for 24 hours.

Next, strain out the onion slices and use the mixture to massage your scalp for 5 minutes. When done regularly, preferably at least 3 times per week, this will promote hair growth and cure hair loss.

Coconut Milk
Coconut milk, just like coconut oil, promotes hair health. The milk contains proteins and vitamins that are essential in protecting your hair from breakage and dullness. All you need to do is to massage the milk on your scalp for at least five minutes. Leave your hair alone for one hour before rinsing with plain water or with a mild shampoo.

Banana Mask
This is another brilliant homemade hair growth treatment that will not cost you much. On their part, bananas contain biotin, which is a compound that contains properties that prevents graying of hair. Besides biotin, bananas contain potassium and vitamins A and E, all of which are nutrients that promote hair growth.

So, instead of just eating bananas, you can consider mashing them and massaging your scalp with the mash. Make sure you use ripe, not unripe, bananas. For even better results, you can cover your hair with a plastic cap. Allow your hair to rest for 30 minutes, and then rinse with a mild shampoo.
