For this method you will need a quarter cup of apple cider vinegar, a gallon of lime juice, and a gallon of water. So how do you go about it? Mix all these ingredients together in a bowl, wash, and rinse your hair as usual and then pour two cups of the mixture on the scalp, while allowing it to saturate your hair. Finish this process by getting a rinse using cold water. Do not throw away the remaining hair treatment, store it in a fridge and use it after a couple of weeks to remove the build-up again.

Baking soda

You just need baking soda and some water and you are good to go. Begin by mixing two parts of baking soda with one part of water inside a large bowl. Then apply the paste heavily onto your hair and allow the paste to soak up in your hair for 30 minutes. After thirty minutes, shampoo and condition your hair as usual. Unlike the hair treatment made with vinegar, baking soda treatment can only be used once. Therefore pour the remaining mixture down a drain, it is environmentally safe and friendly.

Dish soap

You will need to be in possession of a dollop of dish soap, dollop of conditioner, and dollop of shampoo. This method is simple as you just need to shampoo your hair using dish soap once a week and then applying the conditioner after shampooing your hair. Just that? Yes, it’s just that! Do not underestimate the power of dish soap, doing this will help prevent your hair from feeling lifeless and improve body in your hair.

Side tips:

Ensure to keep your eyes closed when applying the apple cider vinegar as it can sting your eyes. Apart from this, it is completely harmless .No need to start being hesitant of using this effective treatment in getting rid of your hair build up.
