Mustard Mask: an Effective Treatment for Extreme Hair Growth

Mustard Mask

Mustard mask is thought to increase hair growth rate. Before using this treatment, however, you may need to be aware of several facts about mustard. First, bear in mind that this is a very strong and irritating ingredient. So, do not use this treatment if you are allergic to mustard. You may also not be eligible to use the treatment if you have open sores or a sensitive scalp.

Secondly, you must be careful not to put mustard into your eyes during application or when washing off. Thirdly, you may need to be careful with the variations that go with mustard mask for hair. Be informed that eggs and oil are added for a good reason. If you do not add oil, for instance, you may end up burning your scalp. All these precautions are not designed to scare you but to enlighten and help you use the treatment safely.

Now let us look at the ingredients that you will need. You will need 2 tablespoonfuls of ground mustard powder. You will also need 4 tablespoonfuls of warm water. Another ingredient that is a must is an egg yolk. Be sure not to introduce egg white here. Also, have with you 1 tablespoonful of vegetable oil. For this purpose, you can use either coconut or olive oil. Any other vegetable oil, however, may give the same results. An optional ingredient that may be included is 2 tablespoonfuls of sugar.

Start by mixing ground mustard powder with warm water in a small bowl. Then, add oil and egg yolk. Mix the entire mixture thoroughly. If you are using the treatment for the first time, add 2 tablespoonfuls of sugar to thicken the mixture. If you feel that the resulting mixture is too thick, add more water. Now the treatment is ready.

Proceed to apply the treatment on the scalp, avoiding hair as much as possible. Cover your head with a shower cap and let it rest until your tolerance is over. Do not let it sit for more than one hour. Once this time has elapsed, wash off the mustard with lukewarm water (and be sure to protect your eyes). After washing off the mustard successfully, you may then shampoo and condition as usual. Now let the hair dry naturally.

For the best results, you may need to repeat the procedure once or twice a week for one month. Using the treatment just once may not produce any noticeable results.
